George sets the vision for the company to include the development of professional standards and operating procedures. He is very active in employee development and quality control. George forges long-term partnerships with our employees and our clients. It is not unusual to observe him performing after-hour quality control evaluations and making unannounced site visits, all to ensure that we are keeping our commitments.
George is also responsible for overall administration, marketing, and public relations. He directly manages some of VSC’s accounts and has coordinated with and provided security services for several major development projects, including at the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport, Broward County Transit, and the Broward County South Regional Courthouse.

FSO - Darryl Johnson
With approximately 38 years of experience in the security industry, Darryl has served 22+ years as a U.S. Army Military Pollice Officer and since retiring in 2009 he has served as a program manager and/or security manager for several contract companies supporting various Federal Agencies. Although his focus has always been centered directly or indirectly on security, he is quick to point how much he learned from working in a plethora of different professional cultures on various services contracts ranging, as examples, from nuclear engineering to construction to administrative support. However, his “sweet spot” is selecting, outfitting, training and employing security professionals.
He jokes about going from college and working on a cattle farm to protecting sensitive U.S. Army munitions overseas, in a blink of an eye. As is sometimes the case, these blinks occur unexpectedly as demonstrated by his recent transition from semi-retired back into the operations field, where he now manages our growing federal operations sector. Although, his current focus is on “guns and guards” and our newest contract, he expects to quickly grow and expand the portfolio to include numerous other services such as fire and emergency services. Having served as the Director of Emergency Services at Fort Campbell, KY, he believes that his old call sign “GunSmoke” is not only “cool” but is a truly synergistic combination.
Darryl graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville (Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Political Science), Jacksonville State University, AL, ( Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Criminal Justice) and the U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College.
